Seven Day Self Love Routine

7 DAYS OF SELF LOVE.

We know that there are 100000 ways to give a lil love back to yourself.
As a mama, boss-lady or busy person in general it can get overwhelming with how to or when to implement your self love. If we can give one tip from ellement is to be intuitive.
Be intuitive with what energy you are craving, where you feel unbalanced and what aspect of your life needs attention.
SO here is our consolidated no BS list that is easy to implement daily, we got you.
P.s you can totally mix around your days, if on Day Two you feel like a 15 minute meditation do it!

Day One.
Meditate for 5-15 minutes.
Ahh the magic of meditation.
It allows you to get out of your head and into your body.
When life seems to be piling on top of you, meditation allows you to stop, check in and re-set.
Find a quiet spot in your house, light a candle and just be with yourself.
Now self-meditation is a skill (that tbh, we haven’t even mastered yet) so here are our favourite online tools.
@Calm App
@Your Zen Life (IGTV & Website)
@lululemon (IGTV & Youtube

Day Two.
Have a tea.
As simple as it sounds, just make that cup of tea and sit.
Sit alone, sit with a book, sit and journal, sit and just carve out that 15 minute to yourself.
We recommend caffeine free tea, so your adrenals have an opportunity to calm down and re-calibrate.

Day Three.
FACE MASK TIME!
Possibly the best kind of self care there is…
Our skin gets a huge workout throughout the day with coffee, sunshine, exercise and just general life. So we are giving you permission to spend $10-$20 on yourself to rehydrate your skin and get your glow back (we are obsessed with the GO-TO facemasks).
If you don't have time to wait for your online order to arrive…
Here is a quick and easy at home facemake recipe:
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Coconut Oil
¼ Ripe Avocado
2 drops of Essenetial oil- our go-to is Lavendar.
(MIX and LATHER on your boootiful face).

Day Four.
Gratitude Journal.
At the end of your day today we invite you to sit down and journal about your day and all the small things that brought happiness into your day.
You don't need to overcomplicate your journal, all of your thoughts are equally as important as each other.
Try to start with 3 things that you are grateful for and then just let your mind and pen flow.
P.s you don't need a fancy journal, just find a piece of paper to start with. Simple is best.

Day Five.
Affirmations.
Say it loud and say it proud.
Now, you may develop your own set of affirmations that resonate with you and that is absolutely fine!
But here are our favourite ones that fill our hearts and boost our self-love cups.

  • I love myself today and everyday.

  • I am enough today and everyday

  • I am capable, I am strong.

  • I am worthy of all the good things life has to offer.

  • I am worthy of receiving love and giving love.

  • I am resilient, and I am proud of my life’s accomplishments.

  • I am me, and that is the best person I can be.

    Day Six.
    Move that beautiful body!
Movement releases endorphins, therefore every time you move your body you are only going to love yourself that little bit more.
Have you ever been in a funk but then go for a walk or book into a class and feel 1000 times lighter after?!
Well that is what we are giving you permission to do.
Take some time to book into your yoga class, go for a walk or jump onto youtube and do a free at-home workout.
We recommend allocating 30 minutes of movement, purely so you are creating enough space for your mind to relax and truly be with yourself.

    Day Seven.
    Morning Routine.
Yes, this is at the end of the seven days of self-love.
This is because after spending 6 days implementing self-love you are going to have a little more kindness to yourself and also want to implement self love daily going forward.
So we invite you to create a simple Morning Routine for the next 7 days.
This will help you to maintain your self-care and give back to yourself daily.
    Something we all love doing at ellement is;

  • Wake up and put on a light meditation song to just ground yourself before rising.

  • Wash your face with cold water

  • Tongue Scrape - yes i know this sounds DISGUSTING, but it is a beautiful way to energise the beginning of your day whilst also removing the toxins in your body from the day before.

  • Moisturise your face

  • Have a cup of tea or warm water with a slice of lemon.

This routine can take only 10 minutes, but if you do it daily- you can have confidence you have carved out some self-care time every single day.

Comment below with how you go wonderful people!
